This is the First Annual March Is Awesome event! The amount to which I love my very own month of March is absurd; my birthday, my brother’s birthday, many of my friends’ birthdays, the beginning of spring, and much, much more! Will you join me in my celebration of March? Alright!
In The Before Times: Way back in 1794, the US government establishes a permanent navy and authorizes the building of six frigates. Now, when do they get those sweet uniforms?
Celebrity Birthdays: Today, it’s both Nathan Fillion‘s and Mariah Carey‘s birthdays! Nation Fillion is now known as Richard Castle, but he was once known as Captain Malcolm Reynolds, and we all know how much we love Firefly, don’t we? I also really love Castle, but I’m probably biased. I’m not a huge fan of Mariah Carey’s now, but back in the day, I played her Daydream album non-stop. Yes, I loved it that much.
What’s happening today?: Today is International World Theatre Day! Go and enjoy some theatre! I relatively recently saw The Color Purple on stage, and, man, that was really good.
Other: Another fictional birthday today: Harry Potter’s father, James Potter! The Marauder era is actually my favourite era; the third book, when the introduced the Marauders, is my favourite book. I had a fondness for James, even though he was pretty much a huge jerk in school, because, well, he was adorably in love with Lily. And that’s all I’ll reveal about my Harry Potter obsession. For now.
As usual, if you know of any other exciting things happening today, feel free to leave them in the comments! Thanks for playing!
