To hold myself accountable for the next year, I decided I wanted to write out a post outlining my editorial calendar for the blog, YouTube, and other social media accounts.
The Blog
I’m going to try to make a blog post once a week, to be published on Friday (this is my first one, yay!).
The posts I’m planning will vary in content, let me know if there’s anything specific you want to see! Some posts I’m planning are:
- Recaps and reviews of movies, books, TV shows(?), video games(???)
- Handwriting posts
- Pens and stationery
- Crochet progress
- Design posts
- Updates on shop and Etsy!
- Other stuff, like personal goals
- Transcripts of videos and podcasts for hearing impaired
Lastly, I hope to also go through my archive of posts to re-release two a week. They will keep their original dates.
YouTube
I plan on releasing two videos a month. I like doing the Chatty Crochet With Me Vlogs, so I want to continue that series. I like the fun aspect of them, and I also have a new years resolution to crochet one blanket a month, so I hope this will also tie in well.
I also, of course, want to continue my bullet journal series. These will only be flip thrus now. I think what was tiring me out was the filming while planning. My current set-up is just not good and I hate planning there! The flip thrus allow me to relax while planning and let me script my video as well.
Instagram & Other Socials
I hope to build up my social media presence, but right now I’m planning on just posting once a week. These will be mini-posts leading up to or following up on my blog and YouTube. I’m kinda clueless about Twitter and Facebook but I plan to cross-post there as well! I’m completely in the dark regarding TikTok and LinkedIn so I’m staying away from those. Lastly, I will pin everything to Pinterest!
Freebie
My Etsy and shop will aim to be downloads for now, if I do well, I want to expand to printed cards and stationery! So, to push myself, I will be releasing a free download each week until my shop is up. These will stay free until I have a store. Then, they will be password protected, but still free; I hope to have a newsletter up and running so that I can give away the password to my readers.
